I want to join the fight for full and fair funding for our schools, job creation, and property tax relief.
Illinois lawmakers and our next governor must pass a fair and balanced state budget in 2007 that fully funds our top priorities: quality local schools with a foundation level of school funding of at least $6,400 per child, health care and social services for those most in need, and meaningful property tax relief that's essential for job creation.
Illinois must stop balancing the state budget on the backs of health care providers and future generations, and we must demand greater accountability to ensure our tax dollars are well spent.
I pledge to support these goals.
